My great aunt turned 100 last summer. She still drives herself, and a few years ago she got a computer because she liked the idea of using to to "look things up on Google". She looks great; seeing her I would not guess over 80.

many of my relatives lived into their late 90s and a very few into their 100s. One great uncle played tennis daily into his mid 90s. My grandmother lived on her own into her early 90s until she fell and broke a hip (ain't that always the way?)
There are good reasons why I fear outliving my money and long-lived healthy relatives is one of them. I plan to be so lucky.

My Mom who lives alone in her house is going on 91 and still doing pretty good. I just met with high school friends that all football together. We are all in our early 60's but we we just learned is of 26 of us (small team) only 12 are still alive. Cancer took most of them and I am the only one left from the backfield. Also found out that more people in my entire class have passed away then the class before and after us combined. This was the first time I've seen many of these guys in 44 years.
BartI live to vacation and vacation to live.

I play softball with a group of retired guys and a couple of gals on Tuesday mornings. Most of us are still going to tournaments in 65s or 70s teams, however, we do have one guy who is 91! He is still able to catch behind the plate and hit. He does have a faster, younger runner after he bats. The amazing thing is that he was a boxer when he was much younger. Don't get Guiseppi mad because he still packs a punch.

My next door neighbor was the oldest person I knew. We shared the same birthday and occasionally enjoyed tamales and beer he acquired through his tamale connection. He was 52 years older than me to the day and hour. He almost made it to 105. We have many older people in my subdivision that are healthy. I think its the water. One gal just around the corner was a fast pitch softball pitcher and at almost 90 she still spends about 20 minutes a day pitching for her schanzer.
