I LOVE the Istanbul Turkish Airlines Lounge!

After another great stay in Istanbul, Turkey we were on a flight yesterday from Istanbul heading to Italy and had lounge access. This is our second time to use their airport lounge and it is STILL the best lounge I have used anywhere hands down! The food is fabulous, and it is more like an "all inclusive" resort then an airport lounge D.H. says the lounge is a vacation in itself. We will get to use it again the end of in Oct. when we head back home. Can't wait! BTW we flew business/first on Turkish Airlines and the food and service is so NICE! Typical " Turkish hospitality" :cheer:

Istanbul is a great city. I always enjoy going there. I also like flying Turkish Airlines, but I am usually on BA in and out of Istanbul if flying TATL, and the BA lounge at IST is fine, but not nearly as good as the BA Galleries lounges in London. The BA Galleries lounges in London are far and away the best I have ever been in, but not had the chance to compare with Turkish in IST.

If you ever use the Turkish lounge in IST let me know your thoughts. DH and I are in heaven there! Even if we have an afternoon flight he always says lets head to the airport by 9am . On one of the times we were there I told them how fabulous their lounge was and they were SO APPRECIATIVE to hear that. They told me in order to work in the kitchen preparing the food it is mandatory you have a chef's license. Believe it or not they also told me the Emirates Airlines Lounge is even better! They must be scoping out the competition. Can't imagine what that lounge must be like. My dentist flies Emirates Airlines and told me that airlines is nothing short of a sampling of heaven
