I might lose the list. Hopefully I won't lose the phone.

As a matter of fact you can pretty much order anything you've forgotten and get it delivered to you
        next day thru Amazon.

        Alas, two problems with that.

        1. The tubing and masks require a doctor's prescription. A DOCTOR'S PRESCRIPTION. Yes, you heard that right. We always say, "Yeah, you need a prescription for the masks. Like Vicodin."

        2. He needed them THAT NIGHT. We got there late on Wednesday and we were only staying two nights. He gasped all night Wednesday. If we hadn't been able to get him his new mask by nighty-night time Thursday, we probably would have needed to go home. Friday morning would have been too late.

Yes, he found almost the only thing that we could have forgotten that we could not just buy locally or have shipped to us via Amazon the next day.

Edited to add--hmm, the Amazon seller does not seem to require prescriptions. Will keep in mind for next time. But there won't be a next time!

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Be careful if your phone does an automatic back up. Some of my photos appear under the google site as 'ready to share'. I certainly want to limit what I share with my phone photos. Google gets too many in that ready to share file.

But Really, you've never worn an Umbrella?
no. I learned early, in grade school, that umbrellas can be fairly useless so most of my life simply have not bothered. Sometimes I get wet. It does not upset me. I do not have a fancy hairstyle to fret over nor goop in my hair that shouldn't meet raindrops.

Having been a competitive swimmer for 16 years, I spent most of my early life wet anyway.

Sure, there's one in the car in case of Serious Downpour, but it was a gift from workplace over 10 years ago and I don't think I have ever used it.

So, chances of wearing one = 0
chances of taking one on vacation = 0

obviously, some people are more sensitive to the rain than I am.

I have found that if I pack an umbrella, I tend to have nice sunny weather on my trip. So ... sometimes I will take one as a preventative measure.

I don't like the visual of Wackys DH gasping for air.
Remember, there is always the local hospital emergency room if you have a respiratory problem.
Or Amazon as Chris has pointed out.

I DO like the comparison of tubing to control substance drugs. Can't YOU see the similarity???

He doesn't have a respiratory problem, he has mild to moderate sleep apnea--but he loves his cpap machine. You know how people with sleep apnea get very attached to their machines and they're almost fearful without them? I think his fear of not having his machine available to him made his sleep apnea worse.

I admit an emergency room didn't even occur to me. Mainly because I slept through the whole thing. : (

When you are used to breathing easily throughout the night, relaxed and peaceful... all of a sudden without the aid from the CPAP there's a restless fearful state of mind. Pretty much like any breathing restriction might cause.

I have broken the face mask and it is quite frustrating to improvise with tape/rubber bands. Twas a restless night with cool air streaking out across the face. I make sure extra tubing and headgear are carried in the car. Wish I had an extra backup CPAP machine.
