HOT! Hi 90s to 100s during the day...maybe mid 60s or low 70s at night. Bring an umbrella to use for a sunshade...it works! But be aware too, that the monsoon season could help cool down the mid afternoons there, but it also means unpredictable washes and lightning. But you will love the area! Beautiful!
Life is short, live it with this awareness.

With all this heat I've pretty much decided to start later and run the counter clockwise loop:
      25 Aug - 5 Sep (SD-WY)
      6-16 Sep (MT-WA)
      17-26 Sep (OR-CA-NV)
      27 Sep - 4 Oct (AZ-UT-CO)

Would late September be better for the AZ-UT beauty?

        Temperture norms?

I've decided to start the tour later. We don't care for HOT. So long as mountain roads are open, we'll do fine.

How do these dates fare as far as temperature norms?
