What is your favorite Trader Joe's stuff.

When on vacation and it is just the two of us we sometimes get the meals for two (just the right size). We also have bought the frozen spices, garlic, etc.
We have them just around the block so a fast trip for eggs, bananas, milk, etc. Packaged brussel sprouts have been good there. My father n law used to do his complete shopping there.

Just remembered something! They have packages of bacon scraps, near the regular bacon. These are GREAT for making soup or anything where you're using a little bit of bacon for flavoring.

Also, their frozen desserts--everybody likes the mochi, and their raspberry tart is great and really nice to have on hand for guests. The lemon bars are ridiculously tiny. The package that says ten lemon bars has got to be kidding. In real-world sizes, that's four lemon bars...possibly two. But they're good.

Couple of things that TJs does not do well:
Coffee. I still haven't found any that's good; it all tastes weak to me. But I drink very strong NYC-style coffee. You probably drink very strong Miami-style coffee! Let me know if you find anything good.

Baked goods. The bread's heavy, the pies and cakes are bland. Always disappointed.

Oh, I forgot the thing we like so much that we can't buy it anymore! The pecan pralines. OMG, so good. SO GOOD. Save yourself!

The raspberry tart is extremely dangerous and should never be purchased more than 3 hours before guests are due.

I always pick up a bag or 3 of frozen artichoke hearts. I think the ultimate favorite thing is the marinated frenched rack of lamb in the freezer section. Easy peasy for grill or oven and wonderful.

Let's not forget the chocolate covered, peanut butter stuffed, pretzels.

The assorted french macaroons are really great and a good value (if you can find them). They are $5 for a dozen. I usually pay $2-$3 each cookie.
