  • Target hacked

We hardly ever shop at Target, but we did go there on 12/8 and spent over $600 on 2 credit cards. Now I am hearing all over the news that 40 million card numbers were stolen from people who made in-store purchases between Thanksgiving and Dec. 15th. ARGH! Do I have to worry about all my credit cards or just the 2 I used at Target?

You should only be concerned with the cards you used at Target. I would call the CC company and ask them what you should do. I imagine that they will probably close your cc acoounts for the ones used at Target and open new accounts with different cards. In the meantime monitor your accounts every day online to check for unauthorized activity. I have heard that the cc companies are swamped right now over this issue.

Same deal here. Hadn't been to Target in years, but of course I was there in that window. *sigh*

In the same boat. Apparently with 40 million others. Crowded boat.

We had one charge during the time period, keeping an eye on my online account at least once a day.
