  • Time for a new suitcase thread...

I need a new suitcase asap. I would like a spinner. Carry on size preferable, but must be roomy - I would also consider one to bagcheck. Any help in terms of sales, brands, etc would be appreciated. Amazon prime preferred, but not a must if I can get it here by Thursday or Friday.

    Thanks!!

I bought a hardside Jeep brand spinner a few months ago at Marshall's, marked down to $60 I think but that is checked bag size, they had larger and smaller.

Sorry, don't do amazon anything so don't know if you'd find it there or not.

I second Marshall's for great suitcases.
            TJ Maxx too.

Marshall's usually carries TravelPro too and since you are the ultimate procrastinator you can just wheel the darn thing home instead of waiting for UPS.

Well, I don't have a Marshall's nearby but there is a TJMaxx I can check out. Maybe I'll go tomorrow; rumor has it there will be a break in the Polar Vortex. I measured my old carry on so at least have an idea of what the right measurements are. I think I may have even seen Jeep hardshells there the last time I was in the store.

I know they won't have Travelpro, but thanks Suskey for the reminder - my last Travelpro did indeed last a very long time.

TJmax has a decent selection of carry on suitcases, at great prices. I've gotten one or two of them there......I also have a travel pro which is a great case! Not as cute looking as my polka dot case from TJ's, tho.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Since you are in New York, you may want to check out Lexington Luggage on Lexington Avenue. It is in the same block as where our daughter's apartment was when she lived in NYC and about a block north of Bloomies. They sell a lot of different brands. Check their website for coupons. We like Briggs & Riley luggage. It has held up well, and they have a good warranty. My wife bought her last piece at Lexington Luggage.
