It all started when I went to Hawaii. This camera was ubiquitous. Every where I went I spotted people holding this camera. Especially among the surfing set. They even sold the camera at the exchange store in the Hale Koa in Waikiki. Then I saw them in Kauai, at Poipu beach. There was this guy who had a quad copter RC drone. What was the drone carrying? This little GoPro camera.

So for an early Fathers day present I am getting the GoPro Hero 3+.

Disclaimer: I am not going to take up surfing or mountain biking. I will find some safer uses for this camera. Snorkeling is more my speed.

Indeed he is! But it is a great camera platform. I have been eyeballing digital video cameras for years now.

No doubt it is a great camera, reasonably priced.
