From my former life as the owner of a flower shop, I can say that Tulips are tough to use as cut flowers. The general trick is to thread a thin piece of floral wire into the center of the stem to help it stay in shape.

        Ouch!

I'll share that with the folks in Pella, Topeka, Holland, and elsewhere:

The flowers that I get from TJs last a minimum of 10 days, and two weeks is not abnormal. I suspect that our varying experiences may have much to do with location,
My TJ's flowers last a long time as well, but I live in flyover country, so that can't be the only reason.

I haven't had negative experiences with the produce, for the most part, but I am also picky. I don't buy much seafood there.

Mold on blackberries are in every store not just TJS. BTW My wife showed me how you know when it is time to eat them. Poke them if they're soft eat away. If it is hard leave it.

I just explained that to my wife. I also suggested the tulips dealio. She seems a bit annoyed.
