Really you don't have to change your diet after the first few days. Avoid fatty foods, eat small frequent meals, plenty of non caffeine fluids.
You will feel better then you have for a long time. You won't miss your gall bladder.

I felt better eating whole foods (vegetables, fruit, grains and lean meat) and thought they would help me recover from the operation and anaesthetic. The Healthy Eating Pyramid shows the type and proportion of food we should eat daily for good health.
Some foods made me feel sick -
Fast Food (Junk Food) - Hot chips (fries?), Pizza, Fried Chicken, Battered Fried Fish
Crisps?
Cashews, Macadamia, Brazil Nuts (Almonds in small quantities were OK)
Full fat cream, milk, yoghurt + butter, too much cheese
Fatty sauces/gravy, Salad Dressing (oily)
Cakes and Biscuits (cookies?) and Crackers ?
