Dh and I had a 6 a.m. flight out of Vancouver. We had been advised by United to allow plenty of time, and we also knew would be going through Customs in Vancouver. We got there so early that the United counter wasn't open for check in. Once they finally opened and we got our luggage tags we discovered the baggage drop off wasn't open. We waited another 45 minutes. Then we go through Global Entry and have to wait for the Customs agents to get there and open up. Hurry up and wait, wait, wait.Luanne

You are a good friend. I would have told them to take a car service.Lawren

Have a nice trip.
On the return from Orlando, I got the precheck but DH did not. I joined him on the regular line which was a ZOO. It took us about 45 minutes to get through it. I think it looks worse than it is because instead of feeding all in off one line, everyone just mills about and joins a line.Jacki

Gosh, in PHX, we get to the airport about 1 hour 15 minutes before take-off for a USA flight and 2 hours for an International flight to Mexico. We never check bags (carry-on only) and the 11:30AM flights on Saturdays do not seem to have a line. I sure hope that does not change this November!Phyllis

Sorta related . . . anyone use Flightaware?
https://flightaware.com/
When I have someone to pick up at an airport, say like a houseguest or a wife, I will watch the flight on Flightaware. I check to see when it takes off and I leave for the airport when the plane reaches the Leave-For-The-Airport line.
I try not to get there 2 hours before the plane.
