She finally lost her battle with pancreatic cancer. She was just 60.
For those of you who got to see her perform with the DapKings, you got to appreciate her incredible talent and energy, even through her illness.
She was in the middle of a tour, a fighter to the end.

I had never heard of her, so I asked Alexa to play me some Sharon Jones and the Dapkings music. Very nice.

Great musicianship all around, and the energy of the live performances was really incredible. I'm sure we'll be seeing more of the DapKings.
