  • Inside the worst hit hospital in the worst hit city in Italy on Wuhan coronavirus

The video from the UK's SkyNews is shocking, but here is the picture of what is going on in the worst hit hospital in the worst hit city in one of the world's worst hit countries, Bergamo, Italy:

Having been through Bergamo myself multiple times, I really feel for these people.

Bergamo is a small city northwest of Milan, that is the site of the secondary Milan airport which serves the Low Cost Carrier airlines, which they call Milan-Bergamo Airport. I have flown into, out of, or both from that airport on a number of occasions, sometimes taking the local bus to the train station to catch a local train to connect to the mainline rail system at Milan Central Station, and have overnighted there at a small hotel near the Bergamo train station a couple of times. Bergamo's quaint medieval old town sits high on a hill north of the station, with the more modern downtown stretching from the station to old town.

Italy had a lot of travel back and forth with China due to its participation in China's Belt and Road Initiative, with the Lombardy region, in which Milan and Bergamo lie, being the part of Italy with most of those Chinese projects. Italy was the only European country to participate in that initiative. Under that initiative, China's banks loan money for infrastructure projects in other countries, which are then built by Chinese companies using Chinese workers. Another country participating in the Belt and Road Initiative, Iran, has also been very hard hit with the Wuhan Coronavirus.
