On your leg to Galveston, if you are coming through Houston, give me a call. I will treat you to some great Mexican food or Texas barbeque, your choice!

      We're 1500 miles along

      Man, WHAT AN OFFER.

Not coming that way, but THANKS.

Flew to meet up with school-days buddy on 20th. Crossed Lake Michigan on 21st. Drove I-90 forever.

Crossed the Missouri and took in the Corn Palace at Mitchell, SD.
We've toured the Murdo Auto Show, drove Badlands NP and shopped Wall Drugstore where we also had hot fudge malts.

The 24th found us doing the Air & Space Museum at Ellsworth AFB. We then toured Mt Rushmore, Crazy Hourse and drove the Spearfish Canyon.

Today we visited Devil's Tower and drove US-14 through Big Horn Mountains. We're at Cody and tommorrow we'll proceed to Teton NP.

Thanks to all who contributed suggestions on what to see.
      Robert

Wow, what a trip. I hope you are taking pictures. 2 months. I couldn't do it with 3 kids in a mini-Van.

Robert, enjoy your vacation but keep us informed. You will see so much in two months that it will become a blur unless you keep a diary. You may as well copy some of it here.

Remember that "A Picture Says a Thousand Words" so we hope you will show some with your story.

I got a quick note earlier this week and they were in Topeka. Also thought he said they had just another week...so he should be home next week sometime. He should have some great stories and pictures. No, we did not get a chance to meet in Seattle..or anywhere else out west.

                        Trip West completed

Over 13,000 miles driven in 63 days.

Absence makes for FINE welcome-home days (and nights )!!!...

Will have to get to some reporting, now, along with the landscaping project I had going.

I'm attempting to sort out some shots of our wanderings, to make available.

My traveling buddy wished to spend time with his daughter at Topeka, then head for Michigan, so I purchased a car and continued 2000 miles on my own across MO, TN and VA.

What a wonderous land to do and see in.

                        Robert
