We will be visiting our daughter at Marist college for parent's weekend. I am looking for somewhere that is very nice, but has a good selection to choose from. We went to the culinary Institute and ate at the Amerian Bounty Restaurant. I thought it was way to overpriced for the amount served. Anyway, last time we went to The Brass Anchor. If I could find another place similiar to that, that would be good. Or, a good Italian restaurant. We try to always go somewhere new. Thanks

I saw that nobody responded to this so I'm suggesting you go to www.chowhound.com and check out their forums. They have one that would cover that area. Linda

Bigfrank, we went for lunch, but sat in the back room by the what I will call the "rustic bar". It was very good. I went to chowhound.com, and came up with a few ideas for dinner. I printed out a couple of menus, and I am leaving the final decision up to my hubby. We will be visiting our daughter for parents wekend, and it will be busy in all of the restaurants. I want to make reservations now. We might also go up the weekend after labor day. When we go up on October 7, I was thinking of going to Barton Orchards to pick apples, and they also have a corn maze that helps guests discover the "Island of Manhattan". This might be interesting.Ann-Marie
