I'm so sorry for your loss. I couldn't be with our kitty when she was put to sleep. I still miss her "Meow" when I would enter the room. It is such a shock when it happens. Given our experience, we should have done what you did and ended her suffering sooner.

On a happier note, the Vet did send a nice card with his condolences. I really appreciated the thought.

Sorry Shaggy. I'm concerned about my 15 year old guy who has lost 5 lbs. in under 2 years. He's a mugger and not a hugger, but he's a beloved family member.

Those of us who choose to share our lives with any variety of pets open our hearts to love and companionship extrodinare'. I have been in your shoes, too many times, and know the depth of your loss. You did the right thing, letting Silver go wrapped in your caring arms.

Hi Shaggy,
I'm so sorry to hear about the passing of your beloved cat, so much a part of your family. We lost our Blue dog in February and I still think about him every day. Give our sympathies to Kelli as well.

You did the right thing, our pets depend on us to make the hard decisions when they are suffering.

Find comfort in all your fond memories.

I feel so bad for you. We lost one of our cats two years ago and it still hurts. She was 18 or 19 years old and was so weak and tired. We made a good decision, I think. We have three left, two are my precious babies that I bottle fed from the time they were about a week or two old. They are now five years old. The pound needed foster moms. I had to keep them, I was so attached. I am not allowed to do that any more.

I love all three of our kitties and miss them terribly when we are on vacations.
