Over Labor Day weekend, my wife and I visited Rockport, Texas. It is a very nice Gulf Coast town in Texas, about 35 miles up the coast from Corpus Christi, Texas. If you timeshare in Corpus Christi, you may wish to visit Rockport. It is a quaint coastal town with lots of artist shops.
If you visit during September each year, espcially in mid-September on, Rockport is the fly way for hundreds of thousands of hummingbirds launching their flight across the Gulf of Mexico each fall. The community has lots of feeders out all over town. The birds are a sight to behold.
I posted a few photos from Rockport showing Aransas Bay and a couple of hummingbirds. The birds were just starting to arrive over the weekend.
If you ever want to plan to visit Rockport, please let me know as we used to own a home on Key Allegro island there and have in laws who live there now.

Also, Rockport is right next door to a huge federal wildlife management area. It is a bird watcher's paradise. Lots of fun. Great place to kayak, famous for its fishing, and generally laid back atmosphere, good shrimp and seafood, and having a great time.
