No hurry though because I just booked a cruise yesterday to New Caledonia and Vanuatu for next year. Doh! Too late for second thoughts or change of plans as we paid a non-refundable $1400 deposit.
How long do U.S. members need to save up for flights to Fiji. Are they expensive from the U.S? Oops, sorry Lawren, this is so off-topic.Syd

The only problem is us right-coaster require 2 weeks minimum because of travel time and timezone changes. So if you feel like planning it...
Sydney I am DYING to go to Australia. Will have to wait until after the school-aged child prison let's out...
Actually any get-together that is planned is GREAT by me. Just make it after mid-November when I get my life back from football please. <Unless the kids get to the playoffs, in which case my life will continue "on hold" for a while longer.
I have enough on my plate with the MUGS right now.
PS. No one else is FURIOUS over the lack of first quarter exchange ops with RCI? Am I the only one that even notices that things have gone to hell in a handbasket for primetime Caribbean/Florida?
I don't know many people here yet. 2008 is a long way off. I'll know a ton of people by next summer.
All we really need to do is cut a deal with an HOA for some rental weeks and then do some direct exchanges. That's the theory anyway. I need to get to know some people before I can assess its realistic viability.

Originally posted by BocaBum99You guys are killing me. 2009? That's further away than I have been in timesharing. I may be completely out of it by then. Who knows? I do my timesharing in dog years. That's 21 regular years away.
2008 suits us just as well as we have no plans for that year yet. Who's interested in 2008?
Was originally thinking of Fiji for 2007 but booked the cruise instead. Have to limit ourselves to one overseas trip a year.Syd

2008 is good
Originally posted by SydneyWell, see how you feel mid 2008. I haven't ever planned our holidays that far in advance either.

I'm still in school calendar prison. Kids have to be out for us to attend.
Anything further than 7 hours via plane is going to require 2 consequetive (sp)weeks <which means July/August>
We need to go via cheap-o rentals/direct exchanges or do Hawaii as that is my best chance via the alternative/in-house exchanges I have targeted in my new RCI-less world.
PS Lang thanks for splitting this off.Lawren

My 2008 vacations are not going to be as many as in the past. My son will be looking for collages. The one date I know is Presidents week for the Caymans. I started my search in Feb of 06 and I am still waiting. I think after January if I do not make a match by then. I will look into going somewhere else.Timeshareforums Shirts and Mugs on sale now! http://www.cafepress.com/ts4ms
