well he's still here...and he just adores DS! We run into wake the slumbering "big kitten" each morning and watch out when DS comes home from school. The roly poly little guy leaps down each individual step and skids across the tiles at the bottom to meet him at the front door!
I think this little guy was only about 3 weeks old when he landed in my home. Eyes are still china blue. I check them daily for hints that they are changing but nothing yet. and he still much prefers his bottle to food and looks at me like I've lost it when presented with water or formula in a bowl.
DH is still dead set against Cougar staying but he will have to stay until eating and old enough for his distemper shot. ( at least another 10 days or so) I'm slightly ambivalent. He's a special little guy but I hesitate to commit to another 16 to 20 years of pet ownership. and yet a boy needs his own pet. Our loss 2 years ago of our orange tabby ( a mush) struck hard and the remaining tabby is not particularly fond of anyone other than myself.
Speaking of grumpy older cat; he is being less vocal towards Cougar. No love lost but if Cougar should stay I think they could successfully ignore each other or at least bear each others presence in the house.
Kittens are very amusing and I appreciate the laughter he is bringing us. Plus he's getting a nice big purr. I'll get you an update picture shortly.Lawren

I really appreciate men who love animals because they are often good people too but they must learn to love and appreciate animals when they are young.

I'm sure you can put together some good ammo for keeping him if you want to.... but you know you can't keep every fosterling, that's the hard part of being an angel...

DH asked today if Cougar would be gone by Thanksgiving...He says those 2 "days" have stretched to 3 weeks. I think he was hinting that the "BABY" might not leave. What do ya think?
OH Cougar LOVES DS.

Lawren,
I just saw the picture, and both your son and the cat are adorable. Cougar is tooo cute for words. It must be impossible for you not to fall in love with him.
I understand the problem with your DH though. Animals are such a commitment, that you really do need to be an animal lover, to make such a commitment. Especially if you were doing a count down. Good luck!Angela
If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I guess Cougar is special to me because he should have died that second day I had him but he didn't. I forget where I read once, that you are responsible for the ones you save.
If I can't keep him after all this I will find him the very best home possible.Lawren
