  • Has anyone seen the neimen Cookie email?

Has anyone seen the email from the lady who is pissed at Neimen Marcus over their Cookie recipe?

She bought some cookies as part of a lunch meal, then asked for the recipe. The waitperson said that they only sell it and that it was two-fifty. So the lady said to add it to her tab. A month later, she found out that the recipe she added to the tab was $250.00 not $2.50. The store said that under no circumstances would they give her the money back, so the lady is emailing it to anyone and everyone she can think of.

Yes - and the e-mail is a hoax.
“Maybe you shouldn't dress like that.”

“This is a blouse and skirt. I don't know what you're talking about.”

    “You shouldn't wear that body.”

There is no "Neiman Marcus Cafe" at any of the chain's three Dallas-area stores. Instead, the restaurants are named Zodiac, Zodiac at North Park, and The Woods.

Neiman Marcus does not sell recipes from its restaurants. The department store gives them away for free to anyone who asks.

So, I wonder if the cookie recipe in the email is any good?

I am wondering if this was started by Hershey since that is the only ingredient's by name. They did not say 8 oz of chocolate they mentioned Hershey bar. Hershey bars might have been sold big time while this was going around.

BTW I would guess the recipe is good. Someone try it and let us know how it is. Better yet someone copy it and post it in the Recipe forum. We will find out soon enough if it is good.

No, the cookies are not that great. I made that recipe once, if it is the one with the finely chopped nuts, butter and blended oatmeal. I cannot remember the rest of the ingredients.

I should bake cookies for our HOA meeting on Saturday! Hatrack and PA- will be there. It is going to be a regular TUG get together. Of course, the meeting is in the morning, so maybe I should just buy some donuts.
