  • Merry Christmas from St Thomas

and Happy Holidays! We're at Bluebeard's Beach Club and the sun streaming through the windows has just woken us up. 'Too hard' to give us interconnecting units so the family is in two units on top of each other, if people see us in our PJs, close your eyes. At checkin they had a nice table laid with eggnog, Cruzan rum, and cookies!

Taking the Wyndham tour tomorrow at Elysian, supposedly 45min, to get our 'discount' card. #2son already started a SCUBA Cert course which will get a discount from the card.

Santa came last night, his sleigh must be weight restricted getting all the way down here. Got a Nerds Christmas Rope, a bar of Kiehl's Ultimate Man Body Scrub Soap, and two pkgs of golf tees imported fm Italy (I think Santa got ripped off on them). Kids did a little better from the looks of the stuffed stockings (socks) and other pkgs. Guess we a fortunate to be warm and sunny here in STT with two free R/T USAir tix for our flexibility coming down.

Spence what a wonderful place to wake up for Xmas!

Enjoy your holidays and remember me to St John if you take the ferry over for a day.

Spence definitely take the ferry over to St Johns and get there early to get the first one out. There are 2 ferries that you can take. The most popular one is the fast ferry I believe. I think that's out of Red hook or Captains corner or something like that. The other ferry is near where the cruise ships come in. That one is not a fast ferry but it is closer to St Johns and might be cheaper. When in St John go to Trunk Bay.

Now if you really want to venture some more. Take the Sea plane to St Croix. Go to the Sea plane office early in the morning to get the discounted tickets for that day. I paid $110 RT PP the last time I was there. The ride in the sea plane is a piss. They fly that like there cowboys coming into St Thomas.

Wish I was where you are!! Have a wonderful trip. Please wear water shoes at all times while in the water. I stepped on a sea urchin and had to have an operation to get the spines out. shaggy

Spence - we first visited the BeachClub as new (re-sale of course!) owners last January and we will return in January 2008....just love that beautiful beach and watching the cruise ships sail out every evening. I own a studio in "E" building - I think! # is 254....end unit second floor - very roomy by studio standards with a seperate almost full kitchen and a TV in the sleeping area and in the living room area.

We enjoyed the Italian Buffet at the Marriott on Friday night...otherwise we pretty much cooked in. Many people were BBQ-ing when we were there, we will do that next year, too.
I agree with Frank - take the ride to Red Hook and over to St John, Trunk bay is amazing.
Friends have also snorkeled off the shore of the BeachClub - we realy like Coki Beach but get over there early to avoid the 'ship people'.

                  Sunset from the BeachClub

"My" unit is second floor on the end

The BeachClub with the Marriott Hotel inthe background...location, location, location.

                  Other beach photos...

BF, the Red Hook ferry isn't really fast it's actually quite slow but the distance betwn RH and Cruz Bay SJ is really short while the ferry from downtown Charlotte Amalie has quite awaya to go. We may do this towards the end of the week, we did it last time we were here two years ago.

STX is probably not in the picture, we are on a budget as usual, but we were there a few years back.

                      Thanks BF

Thanks for all the greetings everyone!!!

Pat, now I don't need to take any pictures, I'm in bldg A which is the one closest to the beach in the same pic as Frenchmans Reef hotel.

We think we like BBC! Went to the Wyndham 45 minute presentation yesterday. Took 1hr15 and we were the last ones in a group of 8-10 for 9am to get started and the first ones out the door. Did you know that everything in USVI is Duty Free including Timeshares!!

                            Spence,

I saw this thread late, so I hope you had a very Merry Christmas. It sounds like you are having as much fun as my family and me in Arizona.

Being from a very warm climate, we are really enjoying the cold weather for a week. Then we go back to warm .

Enjoy and have a safe trip home!

                              What island is this?

What an idyllic and romantic place this is on the beach. How many more days do you still have? Will you be here for New Year's Eve too? That would be nice.

Happy New Year, Spence from southern CA where it was cold and windy today and we had a rainstorm last night.
