  • Scooba scrubbed my kitchen

floor tonight. Only took me about 20 min to figure out how to open it to fill the cleaner dept and I forgot to prime the thing with the included nasal syringe. Maybe that's why I had to keep refilling, although my kitchen floor is pretty big. I used almost the whole bottle of cleaner that came with it and shut it off after the bottle was empty.

I do think the floor feels a little tacky but it looks great. Have to go buy lots of the cleaner.

Was able to locate everything except the cleaning head to clean when done. Any help out there? Thanx.

Do you have to buy there cleaner or can you refill the bottle with some thing else?

They recommend using only their cleaner or white vinegar and h2o. However I found my problem on the tackiness. I only used the cleaner, I failed to fill the container with water

Also when I plugged it in to charge it after use, I plugged it into an outlet in my guest room (out of the way) and it was an outlet that only works when you have the light switch turned on. When I went to scrub my bathroom floor this am my battery was dead. I'll get the kinks ironed out yet. Each time I read the instruction book I pick up something that I missed the 1st 4 times.

Some people are just slower learners than others. I'll contribute that to age.

Maybe it's a good thing they were out of roombas. Seems I can only tackle one new thing at a time.

The Scooba is definitely more complicated than the Roomba (since you have to fill it with cleaner). I think maybe you're using too much cleaner (it only needs a couple of tablespoons per fill up). Our starter bottle lasted several weeks. I do use the vinegar/water solution for the wood floors though and only use the cleaner on the tile. I found the cleaner solution at Linens and Things (using a 20% off coupon).

You'll get the hang of it. We love ours.

Well I think I got the hang of it. Today I scrubbed my upstairs bathroom floor, recharged and scrubbed my entry way. Tomorrow my downstairs bathroom floor. Went back to Linens and Things and they were out of scoobas as well as cleaner. I used white vinegar and water today. I even remembered to add the water Was on the internet while my floors were being cleaned.
