  • Rick and I are grandparents to Baby Evelyn, born last night, Feb. 9th

She arrived twelve days early, only 5 pounds and 20 inches long. She is going to be an athlete like our daughter and son-in-law. She is a skinny little tiny thing.

She looks just like her mom when she was born. Gorgeous, bright-eyed and the same little nose and ears. She has tiny hands but fingers that are very long and thin. She is a beauty!

We were there until delivery, when we were shooed into the family waiting room by the nurse. This tiny baby girl was born at 10:33 last night. We are so tired. We stayed at the hospital until 1:00 a.m., then we drove back home. They live in Colorado Springs, Bryon is in the military, Air Force, and the drive from Denver to the army hospital is 2 hours, so we did not get to bed until 3:00 a.m., then we were up at 7:00.

I will post a picture of our little angel soon.

            Rick and Cindy,

            CONGRATS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Is this your first? We had our first (twin boys) in Oct 2005.

Enjoy her; spoil her -- that is what "grands" do for fun.

How is the mom? I have heard when the baby is smaller, the mom has to do all the work getting the baby here.
            hope this info helps,

Congratulations to you all, and welcome to the world, baby Evelyn!!!!

My Daughter was also born on Feb. 9th. Her due date was Feb. 14, as was mine. I was going to name her Valerie, as my mother was going to name me. But, since neither of us ever made it to that date, I was named Angela. And, I named my daughter Erica.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Congratulations, Cindy and Rick. I know how you feel. Maybe we can make this a weekly TS4UM event - "Grandparent(s) of the Week".
