  • Pray for Gary

When we visited Caroll’s mother in February, Gary had loss of feeling in hands and feet. He was barely able to get from bed to the easy chair in the living room. Tests were being conducted.

So far, the only diagnoses: Systemic Vasculitis

He has felt sick for three years. Fevers, weight loss, fatigue, and diffuse aches and pains that are difficult to pinpoint.

Vasculitis is a “hurting disease”, pain from a nerve infarction, pain from insufficient blood to the gastrointestinal tract. Identifying the source and underlying cause of the pain is extremely challenging. In addition to these diffuse, poorly–localized "constitutional symptoms", vasculitis may involve virtually every organ system in the body.

Caroll’s sister, Diane phoned tonight about Gary failing rapidly. Morphine is being administered.

In 1960, Diane and Gary were married along with Caroll & I in a double wedding ceremony. We have been very close to Gary for 48 years.

Pray for recovery and endurance. May Diane have strength, also.

    Thanks,
    Robert

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

I hope he is being followed by a vascular surgeon. Please email me if you'd like to talk, get info. I'm here.

As I did for Scooter, asking for healing and vigilant angels to watch over him and you all.

                            Thank you all,

                            it just isn't looking good.

Gary has been ailing for a good while. Had a home built about 5 years ago. Then about the time they were settled in and enjoying, Gary knew something wasn't right and couldn't cope with the stress of his job.

He quit work, let the house go and moved in with Mom (Diane and Caroll's)... No income ya know.

Always something wrong and docs not figuring out anything for sure. They said rheumatoid arthritis. Gary just felt lousy and didn't accept that.

Docs told Gary it was all in his head.

Later testing, supposedly he had hepatitis B. Shots and chemotherapy was reccommended. He did not go that route. He said there weren't enough symptoms. Now, resent tests don’t show hepatitis anymore.

He had a blood clot in lung that they cleaned up with medication.

Muscle tone has dwindled to nothing. Can’t control hand movements to even wipe butt or feed himself.

Diane feels she will lose him soon and has summoned the family to come if they wish to see him one more time.

Caroll and I will travel soon, to wish him well.

Makes us realize our time here is limited. Wonder what will befall us, to take us away.

Just try to enjoy while we can. Hug a bit more lately. Such dear love we share.
