I live about 3-1/2 miles from what I think is the highest elevation in Connecticut and it's called the icebox of the state.
That would explain it. When I think of CT, I always think of the Stamford area, that's what we look at, across the LI sound.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

We wound up blowing-off the city, and walked along the beach. It was great! We ate outside, and kicked off the season, with our first lobster rolls!

I am sooooo glad!!! DS went to the local golf course, and there is a beach across the road. Not the nicest beach, but I got sand in between my toes!!! And a light sunburn, with freckles DS played 9 holes with a foursome, so I got more than two hours, just me, the sun, the sand, and his iPod (interesting selection, but it worked). I am one happy Glitter. (sorry Spence).

After this weekend, I won't even mind if it rains this week. I know it's going to get cold again, but I am fortified.

I even got to watch a loon in the harbor.

I went over to Riverhead, Long Island, NY to go to the Tanger Outlet - okay, I am seriously addicted to the Pottery Barn, William Sonoma, West Elm Outlet - and when I drove on the bridge over the Peconic River near Indian Island Golf Course - there was a group of approximately 25 SWANS gathered near one of the islands in the river.
I have never seen so many swans together, maybe a family of 4 or 6 together...it was just beautiful!

          Spring has SPRUNG!

              Pat,

At one point today, we actually mentioned the possibility of going to Tangers. That would have been too funny, if we had run into each other there....I don't really go there often, but I was there recently, and got a bunch of golf stuff, for really great prices.

LOL, I ran into my NP (nurse practioner) who has been out of work for about 6 months with a bad back....so now I know when she is returning to work.....but I would have liked to have met you, too!

I stopped by my friends house....it was just beautiful on the water today.
Here are some pix's - she is trying to rent for the summer season.

Pat....The house looks really nice. It reminded me of the days that we used to rent out there, for the summer. We loved it!!!

As we say in Ohio, "If you don't like the weather, wait an hour." It can be 70 in December and 40 in May.

                      It's almost winter in CA

My husband told me that it was raining again but only a few spatters but the heater clicked on so it is really chilly. No spring or summer here.

The good weather went to you and it's about time. I want good weather when I come to NYC and not too humid either and no rain, please.

Spring yesterday, summer today. Record high temperature for this date. It was 83 before noon. Hard to believe I was scraping frost 55 hours before. A week ago it was nearly flooding now there's brush fire warnings in 2/3 of the state and a flood watch in the other 3rd. Mid sixties now and chance of showers tonight and back to late spring tomorrow.

Well our temps are due to start dropping tomorrow, with rain for the rest of the week.

But I still have my sunburn... and we even bbq'd tonight

High of 46 last Monday in Boston, and monsoon rains. As I was driving to the airport today, my car thermometer said it was 91. Now that's a little too warm, too fast. I guess I'm never happy. But I like 91 and sunny better than 46 and rainy.
