    Yippee!!!!

It seems that winter is finally gone, and spring has come in with a vengeance. What a beautiful day it was yesterday, in NY. The next few days are also going to be great!!!

Finally, I think that I can safely pack away, our winter coats. I hope it's just as nice out, by you!!!! Enjoy!!!!

I've seen snow in May, frost in late June, so I'll keep a bit of it still unpacked for cold nights and the possibility of a short revisitation of old man winter.

You folks back East have taken a real beating with the weather this winter! I sure hope it's over for you. As for those of us out West...it's pouring rain this weekend. And I think Tahoe got some snow overnight. But it's been a pretty dry winter and we need all the rain and snow we can get to make it through our long dry summer ahead. And the forcast is calling for sunny & very warm all next week. The apple trees are in bloom & I've seen lots of robins & mountain chickadees.

        Welcome Spring

I agree....I have to go into the city today, otherwise, I'd be at the beach!

shhhh, are you trying to jinx us??

I'm hoping we're done with winter, also, but am not so quick to trust. We've had snow in May before.

But, I'm working on getting tomato plants in the ground and hope I won't have to be covering them at night too much.

So many plants are already dead. Not the weeds of course, which are ultra-hardy.

We usually have to wait until Mother's Day to plant to be safe... But your right, we can plant our weeds anytime.

Yesterday was beautiful, but I still had to scrape the frost off the windshield before heading off to work.

Wow Tony, I didn't realize that you have such different weather, than we do. It was 80 degrees in NY, yesterday, no frost to be found anywhere, that's for sure.

It's cool and windy here but the sun is shining and it is so clear. I prefer less wind but the wind blows the smog away.

I went to check the temperature. It is 66F and it feels chilly when I opened the door. However, it is perfect weather for walking in the sun on the beach but not for sunbathing.

I live about 3-1/2 miles from what I think is the highest elevation in Connecticut and it's called the icebox of the state. When snow is forecast, most of the time the predicted number of inches will be followed by "and more in the northwest hills." We do get as hot or hotter than the rest of the state in summer tho.
