I've always thought these traits discribe you. Did you started this thread because you have them all?
Now I am really rolling on the floor laughing. That is so far off my self image that I really don't know how to react it. So, I'll just post what's at the top of my mind.
After all these years of denial, I'll finally admit that I'm a nerd. The person on these boards that I can most identify with is boardgirl/geekette. My hero is Bill Gates. My medium is the internet. I'm just an average Joe with above average posting skills.
Why did I post this thread? Because in reading the thread on Fate, it for some reason reminded me of 2 of my friends who I ate lunch with every day about 6 or 7 years ago. We would always have such intellectual conversations. One day, we asked each other that question. So, I posted it here to see what others would say.
You're not going to believe it. But, just 45 minutes ago, Scott called me. The exact person whom I haven't talked to in over 3 or 4 years calls me on the exact same day that I think about him. That is too weird. Maybe I should believe more in Fate.

Coincidence? I think not!

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.
BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
Hmmmm, I'm not so sure that being a genius guarantees you to be a millionaire. And besides, why take the chance? If your end goal is to do, and obtain things that money can buy, why not just take the money?

Ahh, but I don't just want the money, I want to ensure that my kids inherit my brains as well and all the satisfaction and achievement that goes along with being a genius.
Being a genius has many benefits besides money. Nothing satisfies like knowing you invented the vaccine to cervical cancer (done by an Australian researcher), AIDS, cancer, etc.
We're assuming that I would not be a lazy or crazy genius who would end up wasting that gift right?
I think the movie was Network News with Holly Hunter, John Hurt and Albert Brooks. One of the guys says something to Holly about "isn't it great to always be the smartest one in the room?" and she says "No, it's awful!"
I may not be brilliant, but I've shared the room enuf times with dilrods to side with Holly on this one.
Plus, insanity already runs in our family and way too many geniuses end up around the bend. I'm already a bit nuts, I cannot take the risk.
But most of all, if I already knew everything, there would be no more thrill of discovery. I suppose I could create new things, but that would be more pressure than I want.

Ok, things are getting really.... cosmic.... here in the cafe....
Genius seems to be often wasted and I suppose money is too but I'll take my chances with the money. Recent studies have shown that you don't have to be bright to be rich and I think recent history has proved this, i.e. Paris Hilton and others. Bright people seem to have a tendency to squander their blessings as well as rich people. Just today I read about a girl who took college courses to the max in high school. Went to a year of college and ended up graduating from college after one year. Now she's going to LAW SCHOOL. What a waste for a bright young mind. Help us cure cancer, Hillary liberals, or whatever...

I thoroughly disapprove of duels. If a man should challenge me, I would take him kindly and forgivingly by the hand and lead him to a quiet place and kill him. --Mark Twain
#3 of course. With Genius IQ I will easily obtain #1. With that, I can have #2 if I want it. Don't consider #4 to be feasible or desireable.
I would agree on the Genius IQ. Hopefully with that I could figure out how to do #1 if I wanted that. As far as the others go, I like who I am and my look is me or I would be someone else. No, just give me the extra brain power and I will make do.
