And Ireland should be fun - went on my honeymoon 27 years ago.
First off Congrats for being a member of the ever shrinking group of long marriages! (We celebrated 36 years last Feb.)

We traded through RCI into Barefoot Condos in Lead. (far as I know, RCI's only timeshare in SD ~ wasn't real easy, only took about 5 months to get the exchange, but that was a year and a half out) We fly into Rapid City, an hour away, and only have one connection....in Chicago.

Have a great time on the Emerald Isle!!

Oh, wow! Post and let us know how it is. Someday I'm hoping to go to that timeshare in Kentucky that is in cave country. Last year we went to Luray Caverns in Virginia and it was one of my favorite vacation activities ever!

Really? I've never been there. DH suggested it as a halfway point to Cape Cod. What's fun there? The seaport, right?

I've actually been there. We used it as a stopping point for lunch between Cape Cod and what was supposed to be New Jersey, but ended up being Baltimore, MD (long story). Since we didn't stay long I don't remember much about it. I wanted to see Mystic Pizza . There is some kind of museum, but we opted not to spend the money since we really didn't have a lot of time.

The seaport and the aquarium make it a great stop with the kids. Foxwoods, not so much

I've been to Mystic several times. The main draw is the aquarium, tho the seaport is a nice historical area. I don't think there is any other place of interest in the state that is that far away for me tho.

Cancun at the end of May. Annual trip for us. My mom bought at the Royal Mayan 20 years ago and we bought it from her about 5 years ago. We went to St. Croix (where I grew up) on our first anniversary, but really prefer Cancun and the Royal Resorts. Love the people in Mexico!

Mystic, CT is also next door to Stonington, nice to visit especially in the summer when Abbott's Lobster is open.

It's about 20 minutes from Newport, RI (go east) and about 20 minutes from the Foxwoods and Mohegan Sun casinos (go north).

Thanks for all the info on Mystic! We love aquariums, so we'll probably go there. I didn't realize how close Mystic is to Newport.

I think we won't end up staying right in Mystic, but probably somewhere close by but less expensive. Anybody know any cheapish but pleasant hotels near there? Not B&Bs, please, we're way too revolting for that. Big, anonymous chain hotels are our favorites.
