    Has anyone themself or had a family member receive a pacemaker in the last year or so? Ant tips, good or bad? TIA

    Tips? What sort of tips are you looking for? If you need one, then you probably should have the procedure. The best thing you can do is follow you doctors instructions. DON'T lift more than you're allowed. Even if you think you feel fine. It takes time for the tissue to heal and you don't want to mess up the doctors handy work. Especially since you could end up having to have the pacemaker pocket revised if you pull something or get it infected.

      I guess I should have been more specific.

      What is a reasonable amt of time before being allowed to drive and return to normal household activities?How about discomfort when being implanted? This person is still undergoing tests and has not yet reached the point of asking specific questions. Being a caretaker requires lots of responsibility
