some of you will think this thread is a bit absurd coming from me, but here goes....
What is your absolute favorite flower?
I have 2 actually. My orchids which adore neglect and bloom in the darkest of winter here in the miserable northeast. But hands down my "I don't care if all the other species die off tomorrow" favorite bloom are my peonies.
We had a threat of a heavy storm so last night I clipped two large bunches of my light pink double peonies for my house. A storm would have blown them to bits.
These were the very first perennials I planted here when we bought the house and each year for just under 10 days I am thrilled too have them.
No matter how much I complain about our weather here, I really don't think I could move where peonies couldn't grow.
