    It's really a privately owned island (owned by the Robinson family, whoever they may be). There is some controversy about it being called "forbidden," though not sure why. There are also some really expensive tiny colored shells found off the coast there, I forget what they're called, but they are certified and insurable, and pricey in the jewelry shops.
    This just keeps getting better, and better. Forbidden islands, and insurable shells. They must be very pretty.

    I wonder if the boats go there in Spring?

      Easy enough to find out. Google Na Pali Coast tours. There are a few that leave out of Port Allen on the southern coast. One that others have recommended is Holuholu, I think.

        Wow, I found lots of tours, easy to stay very busy. Some said daily, but the ones I found for "The Forbidden Island" didn't really give you dates. I'll have to call, and find out. They had 800 numbers.

          Welcome back.!!!

          Welcome back ,at least NYC is still Summer,we arrived back in Melbourne from Bali ,and it is the middle of winter and we are freezing,back to Bali in 3 weeks.Sounds as though you had a great holiday,we will read about it soon.All the best jimbosee
