  • An update on "Spot" the Leopard Gecko

Spot had her follow-up with the exotic animal specialist on Friday. I have had feedback about Dr Laurie Hess and everyone from vets to petstore owners just rave about her. I can understand why.

Dr Hess was quite impressed by how much better Spot was doing after only 9 days. I no longer have to swab out her mouth and her eyes are much better! Weight remains at 38g.

Still require the intramuscular anti-biotics <my friend K has been doing that. God bless her. Imagine injecting into the muscle of a foreleg no wider than a drinking straw > and I must continue the force-feeding. That will be infinately easier as Spot did not care for the mouth swabbing but now does the "baby bird" open mouth for food. I also must continue twice daily drops in the eyes.

We are not out of the woods just yet but everyone is much more positive about a full recovery for our little lizard.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.
