  • America's Got ONE Talent

I have been watching many of the talent reality shows lately and my favorite by far was "So you think you can Dance." That show had by far, the most talent of any competition I have ever seen. The finale is a show that needs to be burned onto a DVD and watched over and over again.

The single most disappointing talent reality show has been America's Got Talent. It should have been called "America's New Gong Show" The talent, for the most part, was that bad.

BUT, there is ONE individual who was so much better than all the rest, that finding him was worth all of the agonizing displays of bad acts I've seen since the original Gong Show. (Well, that's not entirely true. There were some good acts. The were just overwhelmed by the bad ones.

Terry Fator is the single most talented Ventriloquist, Impressionist, Comedian, Singer I have ever seen. He just won the America's Got Talent competition and will be headlining at Bally's in Las Vegas.

If you missed it, here are some of his magnificent performances:

    At Last

    What a Wonderful World

That's Amore and I left my heart in San Francisco

    Unforgettable

Garth Brooks - Friends in Low Places

This performance clinched the $1M: Crying

Terry Fator is excellent. He said that he almost quit in the past when only one person came to see his show. Now that he is playing in Vegas, that shouldn't be a problem.

All of the final 4 contestants gave great performances on the final show. Hopefully they will all get a career boost.

Boca, I watched all his video clips last night and the guy is great. I hope that he will have a successful career in Las Vegas or anywhere he likes to perform. How wonderful that he persevered as it is so difficult to do this art. This show changed his life for the better. Once you start watching You Tube, it is hard to leave it alone.

I love this Jazz teacher, Doug McKenzie, and am subscribed to his updates. I enjoy listening to him and he has a great web site too where you can download his music and technique. He is so generous and shares his love for Jazz with anyone all over the world. Doug is from Ocean Gove, Australia, Sydney.

Someone here may like him too.

Boca, The Hilton booked Terry Fator about four days before he won. It is a one-night stand, win, lose or draw. Bally's is set to offer him a contract to be an act during the nightly Jubilee Show.

I agree that he's a very talented guy. I thought Cas was going to win, but I am glad Terry did,

Going back to So you think you can dance, winner Sabra Johnson, while now in New York, lived in Henderson, NV and took lessons, then taught at a local studio.

I've watched AGT from the beginning this year. Terry impressed me from the get-go. He is so AWESOME. Like Fern said, I also thought Cas was going to win, but I'm soooo glad Terry won the title.

I never did like Cas. Of course, that's probably because he reminded me too much of Sting, who I don't like, either.

Anyway, I think the best man won.

              WTG, Terry!!

                Fern,

I only heard Cas a few times. I thought he was good, but nothing special. Butterscotch was talented, but not my thing. I hate to say it, but I thought Julienne Irwin was pretty bad. She shouldn't have been in the finals. No personality, above average voice, didn't deliver the goods under pressure. Sideswipe should have been in her slot.

In So you think you can dance, I actually thought that all four finalists deserved to win. My personal favorite was Sabra. So, I'm glad she won. But, I would have been okay if any of the final 4 took home the prize.

I thought the second to last show was terrible. It wasn't the dancers. It was the producers and the choreographers that let them down. They pursued the bone head idea of matching up the contestants with dance styles that weren't their best on the final dance. They should have showcased their strenghts instead. The week before that should have been the last dance. They peaked and were spectacular on that day.

I think that Terry Fator will encourage more talent acts to come to the program. There is a lot of talent in this country. I hope they come out and show it to us.
