  • I am finally back!

Sorry to have disappeared so abruptly. I had a very heated argument with my DSL/phone carrier and finally disconnected service. Of course their way of saying F You was to immediately disconnect my DSL services instead of 48 hours later. So I never really got to give notice here.

The FIOS people were very nice and the technician just left here. Today being the first business day since our return from England. Great trip. I got to meet Keith and his Mrs.

I will try to catch up as I'm behind on everything and then will type up a trip report and a review of Stouts Hill.

A truly lovely vacation but as always it is nice to be back home.

Welcome back, Lawren. I am glad you had a great time but wasn't it a little short to go that far? How nice that you met Keith and his wife. He kept us up to date.

You will love your FiOS service, Lawren. It is so much faster than our DSL was but that was slow because we were so far away from the office. We pay less now than what we paid for DSL and our speed is 15 Mbps/2 Mbps but I often clock 17 Mbps plus. You really notice the difference with downloading large files like photo images, etc. You will really enjoy it.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Once you get use to those roundabouts, I find they're actully much easier than all the 4 way traffic lights and stops we have here. The biggest problem I have is they've put in a few roundabouts in our town and, of course, no one on this side of the pond seems to know how to use them. I've seen people driving in circles in them, going the wrong way in them and most definately don't know the rules of the road as far as entering and exiting from them. If you're not in a car they can be quite entertaining to watch.

Lawren, nice to see you back. I am kinda back too. We had that conversation on TUG.

Question for you? Does Keith look like Bill Murray? He seems to resemble him in the photo.

Keith, no fair answering for yourself!
