  • White Castles

I grew up in St. Louis and it was always a treat to eat White Castles. When I went off to college in Rolla, MO and off to work in Cape Girardeau, MO. I would always try to stop and get some when I went home to St. Louis. Now we have one in Cape, but I am moving to Spring Hill, TN, so will have to drive into Nashville to eat that great food.

I have learned that there are two kinds of folks in the work, those that love White Castles and those that hate White Castles. Which one are you?

There is a third group, which I would fall into. Those who have never had a White Castles.

Belly bombers YUMMY! Those were the mainstay of us nightclub crawlers. On our way home we had to stop at the Castle.

      They now have jalapeno burgers...

      Just DON'T OPEN THE BUN!

I happen to crave those belly bombers about twice a year. And with this thread poping up. I will bet that I will be eatting Murder burgers by the end of the week. Nothing like those repeaters to get the crave going. that will be 10 Barf Burgers with cheese to go, BTW you can now buy those mini burgers frozzen at your grocery store.

I have to admit that I like White Castle Hamburgers. Although, try and keep that under wraps.

Luanne....I can't believe that you never had a White Castle Hamburger. Are there none on the West Coast?

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Yup, and that's what I will have to do. Now I won't be able to stop thinking about White Castle Hamburgers, either. And, there's none anywhere near me.

Frank is the one on Queens Blvd in Rego Park still there? By the Mall?

We have one 10 minutes from here. and it actually crossed my mind to stop today but the drive thru line was HUGE.

The frozen ones aren't the same.

They'll have to make due, for me. No White Castle, anywhere near me.

Yep it still there. I will say that the murder burger menu has grown. Mozzarella sticks, Chicken, Jalapeño sticks and other repeating items have been added.

Nope, at least none that I've ever seen. But, we have In N Out, which I don't think you have.

No, we don't have any In N Out's by us.

You have to try a White Castle. Although, you may not even think that they taste like hamburgers. They're unique.

I ate them as a kid, so I acquired a taste for them. Do they have the frozen ones by you? You could give them a try, just to get the idea. You pop them into your micro for about 30 seconds, or so.

Hey, did we have this conversation before, or am I experiencing Deja Vu.

We have the frozen ones, I think. When I looked at the White Castle website it said no restaurants, but had a list of places to buy the frozen ones.

In N Out is only in California, Nevada and Arizona. It's one only fast food restaurant that we'll eat at. (And I don't really consider it fast since everything is cooked to order).

I think we did because now I'm craving Jack in the Box and I have to wait until JULY to get that.

I could mail you one. Couldn't taste any worse than when it's fresh.
