  • Now my Son Called to tell me he found a stray kitten!

I don't know what is going on here but this seems to be lost dog and cat week. DS was hiking around New Paltz and found a stray cat 6 to 8 months old. We already have 3 cats and I am at my limit. If anyone is interested please let me know. Sorry to say but I will have to take this cat to Animal care and control if I can't find a home soon! No pics yet by DS is coming home tomorrow.

    Please someone take this cat!

People are so nuts to let their little kittens and grown cats outside. We have coyotes, foxes and other cats in the neighborhood that would eat our cats alive, so we don't let ours out, not ever.

Another thing that happens to cats is they get too far from home and cannot find their way back. Sad.

I love little kittens and have the desire for another pair, but we already have three, so Rick is not for that at all.

      Saving the world

      one animal at a time.

Billy please if you cant get North Shore to take it. I will foster it. I think you work over near Rockefeller Preserve and I could meet you to get him or her.

I have two 6 month old kittens here now. Someone is coming to see the one tomorrow.

          Update!!

DS worked the phones in Ulster County, and networked his roomates. His roomate's manager took the kitten.

This cat now has a permanent home!

          Lawren,

Thank you for standing by just in case a permanent home was not found for this kitten. Have fun with your horses.

Oh that is great news! I'm sure DH would have not been pleased with me moving out 2 and bringing in one but I would have if necessary. I'll e-mail you the next time we ride over at Rockefeller.

I love to read the happy ending here. Taking in stray cats or dogs is a big responsibility. We know because we did it too many times already. Look at Taffy, my Avatar, who rules this house and he is over 18 years old now. 18 Years is a quite a big responsibility but he has given us more in his own little way.

Lawren, you are such a soft soul and will always take that extra one that needs a home. Your animals are so lucky to have found you!

Well Romeo is off to his new home! I'm sure they will be very happy with him as he turned into a real lover.

I still have my shy one hopefully he'll come around soon.

Another happy ending. It must be sad to part with the little critter too but, if Romeo gets a good home, it's all worth it.

[marquee][sign]Thanks a lot Lawren what you do for our lost or abandoned animals![/sign][/marquee]

Thank you Emmy. I try my best. I really liked this little Romeo cat but DH says no more. We have Taz who is doing just fine BTW and I never quite figured out how I was able to convince him to let us keep Cougar. Which just threw another 16 or so years of animal ownership into the mix.

I have been told that this other one has to be gone by the 19th. I'm sure I'll find him a nice place by then even if he has to become a barn cat, if he doesn't come around by then.
