End of school year in the South?

Does anyone know when most of the high schools in the South end for the year? I have a friend planning a Disney trip in May and would like to go before they let out if possible.

Right now he is looking at going May 17-24.

We live in Sarasota County and are on their teacher "sub" list. Sarasota changed school calendars this year to start the end of August and end on May 29/30 (with some teacher inservice days the following week). I know other Florida counties also changed scedules, but I don't know their details!
