We'll be spending Christmas Eve at my sisters and like Ang..eating fish, that is except for me and DD and DS. We usually eat Mac'n'Cheese. We only eat certain marine type things. As you could tell, it's not my favorite.
Christmas is usually spent at my house, this year we will only have 8 people so it will be nice and quiet...I make the whole meal, probably some sort of beef this year, along with the pasta and antipasto.
I always make several different kinds of cookies, which I have already started making.
I usually will not put the tree up until 2 wks before Christmas and then take it down 1-2 wks after Christmas.

I am not into xmas, in fact, since I'm in retail and have to work so many hours I begin to really dread it. I felt pressured to put up a tree, decorations, buy presents, etc so I said enuff is enuff. No more. No decorating, no fancy cooking, no nothing except Kelli and me. Now before you all flame me let me tell you that I will be going down to Southern Pines to visit Mom after I get off xmas eve, spend the night at Motel 6 (will be taking the dogs) and spend xmas day with mom (will in all probability be her last as she is 96 and in very declining health) I will try to make it as pleasant as possible for her.

I have made a promise to myself when I get out of retail I will go away every xmas somewhere nice as a present to Kelli & myself.

I hope everyone has a lovely & wonderful holiday. shaggy

          Tony

I know there must be a good reason for you to spend Christmas home alone, but that doesn't sound like fun.

If you're up for the ride, you're more than welcomed at my house. They'll be plenty of food, and you'll get to meet my DD's new boyfriend.

If you change the way you look at things, the things you look at change.

BTW, I'm still keeping track of how many times you annoy me.

Thanks, Ang- but Mrs. Tony will be home at around 3:30 PM and I have many projects around the house to keep me quite busy. With my luck- I'll probably have to go into work for some last minute project.

We will be going to my wife's brothers in NJ for charistmas for a few days. Both of our son's will be there this year. Last year our older son was living on the West Coast and didn;t make it home for Christmas, this year he is now living in NYC so both of them will be around. Our younger one just started law school in NH.
We always have a great time at my brother in laws, it's nice to spend the holidays with family.

My Christmas morning starts with feet on the floor NLT 0600 hrs. I would feel I missed Christmas if it were light outside. Turn the lights on the tree, feed the cats, play Christmas cd's, and make hot chocolate for two. Exchange gifts and welcome new times along with remembering Christmas past. We have a very light breakfast.
Tradition calls for me to fix a standing rib roast ( bone in ) on the grill. Pies and such were made the day before. Grandma's china and silver are used on this day. Call mom to see how she is doing.
A walk around the circle, 1 mi. to help settle the meal.
Church in the afternoon also to catch up with friends. We will have a church sponsered soup kitchen and hand out gifts to all that come.

                  Merry Christmas to all !!!!!!

We will be spending our first Christmas away from Home.

For the week of Dec 14 we have exchanged into a Ocean front sleep 6 unit at the Driftwood in Vero Beach into a unit we used to own. For that same week we also exchanged into a sleep 6 at The Reef in Marathon in the Keys. The weather will deside which unit we will use the most that week.

The next week we exchanged into a differant sleep 4 Ocean front unit at the Driftwood that we also used to own.

The wek of the Dec 29 we again will be at the Reef in Marathon. We may also spend some time at our Florida Bay Club if our 2 Bedroom rentals are not rented forthe Christmas or New Years weeks.

If it can be arranged maybe there could be a group or groups get together during those 3 weeks. Would like to meet some of this boards posters.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Years to all.

We will be home for Christmas. We are going to Pasadena for 5 days over New Years for the Rose Parade and Rose Bowl football game. Pasadena is about an 1 hour and 15 minutes from our home. We have an official Tournament of Roses Parade and Rose Bowl package where we will be staying at the Westin Hotel in Pasadena and attending all the festivities.
