  • Off to the Giants/Redskins game

wearing so many layers I look like I weigh 300 pounds. It is a XMas present for DS his first pro-team. My team against his. Surprisingly the game actually means something.

We're on the first level, 50 yard line. I'm sure we will have fun and drink buckets of hot chocolate.

If you don't see me tomorrow early I slept in.

You need to add something to the adults hot chocolate to be out on a night like this!

Can anyone else hear the clock ticking for Manning III?

The last couple of weeks have shown the value of veteran, will-not-lose-the-game-for-you quarterbacks like Todd Collins. No, not like Todd Collins, specifically Todd Collins.

Come to think of it, this season has been a season that shows the error in relying too much on the #1 quarterback, league-wide.

Very poor performance on the Giants part and losing Shocky for the season was worst than losing the game.

Well, luckily for us the seats, which are season tickets from a co-worker of DH's, are up close to the top of first tier. Not photo-op land but it meant we weren't uncomfortable. Out of the worst of the wind.

DS went down to take some pics of his Redskins and came back telling me folks were frozen right down at the side-lines.

I'm glad I waited for him to get a few years of playing under his belt as he was REALLY into the game. Disecting plays and getting filthy looks from the die-hard Giant fans surrounding us. Most of the prime tickets like these are actually left in wills to family members for generations. He wants to go every year. Gratefully the conference games are split and next year's Giant home game will probably be in October.

DS made me stay until the "bitter" end but that worked well too as we had no problems catching the shuttle to the car or getting home.

Too much hot chocolate for me. I only got 2 hours of fitful sleep.

PS The Giants played miserably. I don't think Armani Toomer caught a single pass. The loss of Shockey is bad but he hasn't had a great season either. You don't "get" how BIG Plaxico Buress is until you see him up close.
