A good friend of mine got a new puppy over the holidays. A bearded collie and he is the cutest thing. Seal brown with blue eyes and a white face with a matching brown nose. I'd steal him in a heartbeat.

So that prompted the XMAS/ puppy welcoming shopping spree. I don't own a dog and haven't in over 30 years but I do love them and work with them on a daily basis. I just haven't shopped "puppy" in a long, long time.

Cute, cute things. I can see spending $$$ on puppy stuff. There was one "ewwww" bunch of toys though. Stuffed furry forest animals. Squirrels, bunnies, ferrets. Very life like. BLECK

What a darling puppy!! I can see why you would 'steal' him!!

We have an almost 3 yo yellow Lab (Dakota) and she loves any kind of 'squeak toys'. She'll chew up the stuffed ones, but plays with her rubber squeaking duck and turkey!

Our DD found something neat for Dakota to wear at night...a gizmo that she can wear on her collar at night . "Blinking Pet". Clip it on, turn it and it has a small light, similar to a strobe light, that you can see about a block away. It is powered by small hearing aide batteries. Makes it easy for anyone driving to see the light and be aware of someone in the road. DD got one for herself, to put on her belt at night when she is riding her bike around Key West.

I wish I had the time for a dog like that both wife and I work so it would not be fare to the dog.
