I've never seen a straight man order and drink a Cosmo. Even when Cosmos were at their Sex and the City peak. I've seen straight men TRY a woman's Cosmo--but a man order a whole one for himself? Never ever. Have you?

I have friends that used to drink them, and they are not gay. Don't know if they still are, because they are not as popular as they used to be.

I also know gay guys that loved them, and drank them all the time. One of my friends used to make them by the pitcher.

Not a straight man. In fact, I don't think I've seen a gay man order one for that matter. Not that there would anything wrong with it

I tried one once when experimenting around with all the different martini's. I didn't really care for it and have never ordered one since. For that matter I now stick pretty much with the straight up martini or the vodka martini.

This drink really sounds something akin the infused vodka's I've been seeing in the liquor stores around town. Red Square and Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas had a hot pepper infused vodka that was really good. They keep their vodka in the freezer so it was something like drinking a frozen jalapeno pepper. Really an interesting drink. I've had other infused vodka's and really enjoy them for a change of pace.

Just watched the Youtube link and it reminded me of the old saying, "Candy is dandy but liquor is quicker." Knowing how vodka can hit people and how this has been made pretty for the ladies and had bubble's added, it looks like a good drink to get your date hammered with without her realizing what you might be doing.

Yes, I think that's the underlying message of the first commercial. And maybe the guy is drinking it to show the girl how "harmless" it is. I think I feel a master's thesis coming on.

I wonder what was used to get that pink colour??

I make a rose sorbet (from Mr Lincoln rose petals) which is that colour. Perhaps thats why its so expensive!! I hope its not cochineal - nice colour but ..... eeeww.

I didn't realize that it was that expensive. I haven't actually purchased any, yet.

I think that maybe it is suppose to be given as shot. Although, we were drinking it out of champagne glasses. This is strong stuff, and appropriate as a shot, or after dinner drink.
