  • Yorktown winter has arrived

We have felt some cold days but has been like Spring lately. Daffodil are popping up and dandelion are blooming. Even seen a butterfly.

I’ve enjoyed landscaping (diggin in the dirt) without the mosquitoes biting since before Christmas.

Yesterday the wind picked up, the air went chilly, and we had off and on snow through the late afternoon. (No accumulation)

We anticipate overnight lows this week to reach 24, 19 and 21.

Sure beats six feet of drifting snow.

I'm jealous. I live in northern Wisconsin. We are expecting high of -8 and low of -21 on Saturday. I'm sure ready for some warmer weather.

I'm sorry, but I don't get it. How can you people survive the winter? I like a dusting of snow every once in a while, but digging out of the weather would drive me nuts!! I really enjoy the 4 seasons. shaggy

I know what you mean. I didn't know there were other places while growing up in Michigan. Then I went off into the navy.

I now agree with Shaggy... Why?
I like to see snow once or twice each year, but I get along just fine if we get none.

I do prefer those summers over the ones here.

Hey wimpy- It keeps the fire ants away and we get to learn how to drive on snow and ice.
