I just finished working on a jigsaw puzzle! My sister is a jigsaw puzzle freak and she decided to buy me one for Christmas. She didn't tell me until after I started that the type she bought me was one of the hardest puzzles she'd ever done. It was a mosaic puzzle -- I don't really know how to describe it -- all kinds of smaller images make up the one big image. It's a Snoopy puzzle and it was 1000 pieces. I got so hooked on it. Here's what it looked like. I couldn't figure out how to put my image in -- so here's a copy of the puzzle on Amazon. So, now I don't know what to do with it. It's on my dining room table for now. She also gave me puzzle glue in case I wanted to frame it. Considering what a feat it was to complete it, I'd kind of like to frame it but don't really have a place to hang it. Now I want to start another one!

Preparing for vacations I understand... Where to????
What did you retire from?
Oprah has a web cast event every Monday night which discusses her book club selection: A New Earth. Some participate on Skype, some by email and others via telephone. It's a wild experience. I believe over 700,000 people were online last Monday and over 1 1/2 million downloaded the first class.
We own 3 weeks at Summer Bay, Las Vegas, 4 weeks at Ocean Landings in Cocoa Beach, and 6 weeks in Hawaii (2 at Pono Kai, 2 at Kona Coast II, and 2 at Maui Schooner. Every summer we take one of our 3 adult children and grandkids to Hawaii with us. This year it's Laurie's turn with grandkids Ryan, 14, and Carissa, 17, staying on Kauai, Maui and the Big Island. DH and I will also spend 2 weeks in Oahu by ourselves at Shell Marina and Wyndham Waikiki Walk, thanks to exchanges with Trading Places. We leave June 7th and return with the family July 22nd. Oh what a life!
I retired from the Toms River Board of Education at the age of 62 after 25 years employment as a school social worker. I get a pension, medical benefits and decided to collect my SS benefits now, rather than later. DH retired in 2000 from the same Board as a school administrator. He had worked over 30 years. Since I remained at home while our children were little, he spoiled me while I worked 7 more years to reach the 25-year mark. We are blessed after 43 years of marriage!AKA "Mimi" from Toms River, NJ on TUG

[quote=BoardGirl;209773]Thanks, I don't get sick often, so it was my turn.
,,, I don't bother with green beans - the bunnies eat too many.
... and it's too hard to keep the deer away from them. The deer also chow on the tomato plants, but it's more of a pruning than a ruining.
..., The plot is about 20' x 30' but ... quote]
I've plans for a greenhouse we are erecting on a 25 x 15 area of the garden. When weather is right the plastic will come off and leave wire up the sides to keep deer at bay. Don't know that rabbits will stay out but we'll see.
Let me know if you'd like the plans.Robert
