  • Egg-xactly when is vernal equinox

DS and I love to balance all the eggs on end during the only time we can do it each year.

This year it looks like March 20th at 05:48. And here's more than you ever wanted to know about equinoxes, though I don't see a thing about standing eggs on end....

          It most certainly does!
The closer to the exact time the easier it is. You balance on the round end and of course use raw eggs.

good question! Apparently it's UTC (used to be Greenwich Time), or Zulu time... that is 4 hours ahead of EDT.

And that concludes my surfing research for this morning

The only way I know to stand an egg on its end is to hard boil it and then spin it. Only a hard boiled egg will spin on a point.
