  • Princeton Ski Shops bankruptcy, rental equipment policy

Princeton Ski Shops are all closing. Inventory being liquidated, etc... Rental equipment is due back by April 30th. If you like your stuff, you can keep it and Princeton will charge you the deposit you left. If you rented equipment prior to November 7th and you want to return it, you have to file a claim to get the deposit back, you'll be treated like a creditor (so may not even get it back, depending on your 'place in line,' though bankruptcy is not my specialty). We rented after that date, so we will get our deposit back without a hassle. We are not keeping the equipment as DS trashed the snowboard and has outgrown the boots, which is too bad b/c our deposit was only $100.

Anyway, food for thought when renting anything long-term and giving a deposit...
Working...
