The last one I pulled was in 1989/1990. The day fell on a weekend and I called a pizza chain warehouse manager (saying I was the deputy local fire chief)and told him about the major fire that had destroyed the warehouse- but we had saved the dog and that he could come and get him anytime at the fire house. When he hung up he looked both like he had had really bad news and was confused-- until his wife said "April fools". He did not take it very well- so I have been a good boy for almost 2 decades. How long is long enough ?

You're over due.

I'm trying to think of a trick to play on my DH. One that would get me out of the kitchen, and out to dinner tonight, if anyone has any ideas.

Tell George that if he takes you out to dinner you will supply the desert.

Then when it is time you can do one of two things say April fools or come out with a banana cream pie.

That would work, but it might also tick him off. Some things he just has no sense of humor about.

I'm afraid if I bring out a banana cream pie, I might wind up wearing it. I better go get some Italian Cheese Cake, fresh strawberries, and home made whip cream. No way he's throwing that.
