I am having one of these....

    Spring is HERE!

    Limoncello Martini Recipe #111361
Perfect for a warm summers night when the kids aren't home! Sweet, slightly sour, a perfect martini!

    3 fluid ounces vodka
    1 fluid ounce limoncello
1 teaspoon simple syrup (see note)
    lemon twists

    Fill a shaker with ice.
Add vodka, limoncello and simple syrup.
Shake well and strain into oversized martini glasses.
Garnish each with a lemon twist.
Note: Simple syrup is made by combining 2 parts granulated sugar with 1 part water.
Simmer, stirring, over low heat until sugar is dissolved.
    Chill before using.

Instead of simple syrup, I put in a package of splenda ....divine!

I had 2 bottles of Lemoncello that I had brought back from Italy, Last week they were selling it at the wine tasting so I bought 2 more. Now I have something to do with all that Lemoncello.

I couldn't wait for the summer so I will have a second one with Arlene

Fern, this is a bottle brought back from Italy by my son and I knew several people purchased some at the wine tasting - is this an easy recipe to make?

Frank, you are not the only one who purchased some at the wine tasting.

Also, my frind Michele just loves "Peschacello" - the peach version.
              Pallini Peachcello

Pallini Peachcello is a tantalizing elixir, a light, satiny textured liqueur brimming with appeal. Its generous bouquet showcases the tantalizing aromas of ripe white peaches. As great as the bouquet is, the liqueur's fruit-derived palate is even more sensational. The complex array of fresh, peachy flavors is laced with notes of vanilla and spice. The lightly sweetened liqueur rolls over the palate eventually fading away in a relaxed, flavorful finish. Pallini's luxurious liqueur is the real deal, a peach experience that rivals sinking one's teeth into ripe fruit right off the tree. Pallini Peachcello is without peer.

              Pallini Raspicello

Pallini Raspicello is a rare delight. It has a ruby, jewel-toned appearance and a silky, lightweight body. The aroma of wild vine-ripened raspberries is glorious. The bouquet more than sets the stage for what is to follow. The Raspicello's initial attach is somewhat demure yet remarkably smooth. As the liqueur washes over the palate, the fresh fruit flavors begin to grow in intensity, with the raspberry character attracting all of the early reviews. There are notes of other soft berries in the palate that are subtle, yet discernible for those who care to notice. The melange of delectable flavors lingers on the palate for an impressively long time. Raspicello is an exquisite, skillfully balanced liqueur.

Here is an interesting one - variation on a cosmo - no 'orange' contreau or triple sec - limoncello instead - although the 'amounts' are a bit small

              Limoncello Cosmopolitan
              Combine 3/4 ounce vodka,
              1/4 ounce cranberry juice and
              1/4 ounce Limoncello.
Pour into martini glass and garnish with a lemon wedge.

              Orangecello Cosmopolitan
              ¾ ounce vodka.
              ¼ ounce cranberry juice.
              ¼ ounce Orangecello
Pour into martini glass & garnish with an orange peel.

In the summer we just put a glup of limoncello in a glass of seltzer and ice. It's pretty strong on its own...I'm thinking we don't need the vodka!
