Oh, Jackio, how terrifying! I feel so bad for your little pup...and for you all.

You know, things are getting scarey ... I cannot help but wonder, is it allergy to the vaccine, or are there other things wrong....like tainted product, or tainted syringes....chemicals can cause such severe reactions when a pet is poisoned by them.

I just wonder what is happening with product quality control.

I am just grateful that you were home and fast to act....but your poor puppy...this must have hurt you as well as her.

My dog Monkey had a reaction to one of her shots. Benadryl and steroids. They did not charge me for any of the services due to the reaction. It sure is scarey. She was covered in welts. I pulled a tick off of Mater and she broke out in welts. Called the vet and he said to give her benadryl. You can buy the kind that melt in their mouth, it sticks to the tongue and is easy to give. I keep it on hand now.

It sure is scarey and glad that your dog is ok. shaggy

Thank you all, and thanks for the good information, StressCadet. Isabella is back to normal now. The vet said to give her Benadryl for a couple of days, so she was sleepy. She is back to her terrorizing self again and I've never been more happy to say "get down!".

That is great news. A few times I had heard that you can give your dog OTC pills if they are not feeling right. It is just knowing how much to give.

              Sorry BF,
Never give certain OTCs as they will kill your pet. Dog Owner's Guide:Over-the-counter drugs can poison pets
