John only join your community a short year and a half ago but during the past year and a half he has shared his considerable knownledge with us all freely.

He at one point offered to set up ebay auctions for anyone you just wanted to get rid of their TS for $1. Anything to keep people from being taken by the PCCs.

    He will be surely missed.

I am so sorry to hear this. We lost our 41 year old brother-in-law in January suddenly/unexpectedly . You have my heartfelt condolences.

I did not know John well but we came close to meeting for the coming NY dinner we are planing next month. I am sure he will be with us in spirit and I will be sure to have a toast for him when we have our get together.

Does anyone know how old John was? I tried to find an obituary, but I am pretty inept at the Google searching thing.

I am so sorry about John. He was really a very nice guy, and as Boca said, was definitely one of the good guys.

I just saw the answer to my question. He was in his mid-forties! Oh, that really is so much sadder. I am so sorry for his wife. He was way too young to have a massive stroke.

What a terrible loss! I never met John in person, but we communicated via email and I could tell what a great guy he was.

I don't know if Lorelei is knowledgeable about timeshares, but if not, we should definitely help her figure out what to do with the ones that John owned.

First Ken and now John. I cannot believe it. I always enjoyed reading his posts. He was so knowledgeable and he loved dogs. I remember that recent post.

My deepest sympathy to his family for losing him.

                        John was 46.

His wife and brother are partners in his closing company, to what degree they were involved I don't know. They are working towrds resolving all of the outstanding closings that John was working on.

It is a really sad situation. I had only talked to John on the phone and via e-mail. He truly loved what he was doing and showed that passion everyday in helping others in the timeshare world.

John was always very helpful to me. This is so tragic, and my thoughts and prayers are with his family. We will miss him terribly.

What was the name of his closing company? I hope it continues, and I will spread the word as to their integrity, if they keep operations going. I think John was the crucial partner in the success of that business.

Oh, I am heartsick to hear this! John was one of the most kindhearted and generous people on TUG and TSFM's. He was definitely one of the good guys. He was always offering his valuable professional advice for free to people with closing or deed issues. When I had a major deed/closing problem, he called me and talked me down from the ledge. I know he helped countless others as well. When thanked, he would always say, "If we ever cross paths, you can buy me a drink." I was looking forward to repaying that debt at our upcoming luncheon. Now I am sad that I won't have the chance. Loralei, my heart goes out to you and your family. Please know that John will be missed here.
