First of all, Happy Birthday and many more.

You are as old as you feel. Just remember that! It's only a number.

There's an old saying that "life begins at 40." That has certainly been true for me. In general, the years after 40 have been far better than the years before. And even the stressful times have been easier to bear.

I hope the same holds true for you.

Well, 40 is not 54 like me ... but I had some GOOD times in my 40's.

Although this was also a REALLY Good Time

Hey, I'd rather be 40 than the alternative My hardest bd was when Kelli turned 30I then realized I was getting older. I will hit the big 60 my next bd, and I think I'm a well preserved pickle. shaggy PS Happy Birthday!!!

It's just a number...you are as old as you feel. I turned 50 last year and I feel like I'm 36.
I have heard the expression about 40 being the new thirty, I didn't hear 20....but again, it's all what you make of it.

Now you can get MORE magazine. It is an awesome magazine for those of us over 40!

I was not real thrilled with the 40 milestone myself. I am 43 and 40 was a tough one. The day before my birthday I got stopped for speeding. When the police officer asked me for my drivers license I gave it to him and burst out crying and said " it is my birthday tomorrow and I am going to be 40!" He said "ma'am I would have guessed 30, are you ok? "I could not stop crying. He offered to help me get home. I did get out of that ticket!

Of course now 40 sounds really young!!

You can look at 40 as your glass is only half full or it's already half empty. It's up to you.

I turned 40 two years ago, and the past two years have been some of the best of my life. Embrace it! You have all the wisdom of the last 40 years to use for the rest of your life. And after 40, girlfriends really know the value of their girlfriends. Enjoy the spa - and do it with those girls more often!! I have found that most of my female friends now make the extra effort to see each other.
